We focus on developing novel structural materials through the self-assembly of polymers, copolymers, supramolecules, and hybrid systems. To date, our work has led to several discoveries, including trilayered single crystals, hollow double gyroids, full-visible gyroid photonic crystals, lamellar photonic crystal gels, highly asymmetric block copolymer nanostructures, fluorescent polymers with atactic, isotactic, and syndiotactic configurations, spinodal nanonetworks and their related neat inorganic or inorganic/organic nanohybrids by subsequent templating synthesis.
